The jar is removable yet securely seated in its base, shaped precisely to fit it. It is easy to clean and requires no additional fixing. Due to the handmade nature of this product, slight imperfections such as air bubbles, fine scratches, or small marks may be present in the glass.
What are marimo and how to care for them
Marimo are unique spherical algae that naturally grow in freshwater lakes.
Their soft, velvety texture and round or slightly irregular shapes make them a beautiful and calming addition to any interior.
They are very easy to care for, requiring only occasional water changes and indirect light. Simply change the water every 1–2 weeks and gently squeeze the marimo in a bowl or sink filled with water to keep them clean and healthy. With their slow growth and long lifespan, marimo can be enjoyed for many years as a small, living piece of nature in your home.
Marimo are packed in resealable zip bags, allowing them to travel safely for more than two weeks.

Why our jars on wooden roots?
Each piece is truly unique and one of a kind. These jars are made from recycled glass, carefully shaped at high temperatures by skilled artisans. The molten glass is formed and then adapted to fit each individual piece of wood. As a result, every jar fits only its own wooden root and cannot be paired with any other.
The finished glass has a subtle bluish tint, giving each piece a natural, aesthetic look that blends beautifully into any space.
